Join us for the
second running of the Usery Mountain Madness, benefitting
the 100 Club of Arizona and the City of
Mesa Police & Fire Benevolent Funds. The event is
a team-based duathlon, incorporating aspects of adventure
racing. Disciplines include mountain biking and trekking.
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Event activities will
include participant hot dog and hamburger cookout, sponsor's
tables, charity raffle and door prizes.
Volunteer With Us!
Madness is hosting
the second annual Usery Mountain Madness
on April 9 and we are looking for volunteers to assist with
the event.
If you are interested in volunteering or know some who is,
please
have them contact Mike
Bellows. As a show of appreciation,
Madness will waive $40 of the referring participants entry
fee for
each volunteer who is able to assist the day of the event.
Free park entry and lunch will also be provided for the
volunteer. This is a
pretty sweet deal! Please contact

more info.
Volunteer slots are limited.
This year there is
a non-competitive event for youth ages 4 - 14!
Two one mile loops, with youth friendly mystery events, that
will
be fun for the whole family. Entry fee is $10 per person and
includes access to the BBQ. See

New to adventure
sports? Wondering about basic trail-side bike repairs? Are
you interested in previewing one of the UMM courses? If you
answered "YES" to any of these questions, have we got a deal
for you!
Madness team members
will be at Usery Mountain Regional Park on Friday, April 1
and
Saturday, April 2, 2011 to pre-ride the courses. We will meet
at 7:15 a.m. in the Horse Staging Area for a run/ride. RSVP
by email if you are
interested. Specify the day and we will look for you. Plan
on hitting the trail by 7:30 a.m. and finishing by 9:30 a.m.
Madness is always
riding or running. If there is an interest in other
pre-event runs/rides at Usery, a request can be made
by contacting any team
member.
